The marble floors stretch on forever, and there’s this almost theatrical quality to how the light filters down from those massive chandeliers. It’s the kind of entrance that makes you straighten your posture without thinking about it.

What I love about staying here is how seamlessly it connects to everything you’d actually want to do in Seoul. You’re literally attached to Lotte World Mall and the theme park (hence the name, obviously), but honestly, even if you’re not into shopping or roller coasters, the location works perfectly. The subway connections are right there – Jamsil Station is basically part of the building complex – so you can be in Gangnam in fifteen minutes or Myeongdong in twenty. I’ve stayed in Seoul hotels where getting anywhere felt like a production, but here you just… go.

The rooms themselves feel properly luxurious without being stuffy. Mine had these floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Han River, and I actually found myself just sitting there with coffee in the mornings watching the city wake up. The beds are fantastic – that perfect firmness that Korean hotels seem to have mastered – and the bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into things constantly. What impressed me most, though, was the attention to small details. The housekeeping staff somehow managed to time their rounds so you never felt interrupted, and the concierge team actually knew useful stuff about the neighborhood instead of just handing you generic tourist maps. The breakfast buffet is massive and honestly pretty good, though it gets absolutely packed during peak season, so I’d recommend going either really early or closer to closing time if you want to actually sit down. One thing to note – because it’s such a popular spot and connected to major attractions, the lobby can feel like Grand Central during weekends and holidays. Not necessarily bad, just something to expect. The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me; it’s one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises without trying too hard to be something it’s not.

  The suite was beautiful and maybe thee most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in 10/10 for family so close to Lotte world and the mall beautiful river view also

  The location is fantastic, with Jamsil Station directly below the hotel. It’s also great to have Lotte World and Lotte World Mall right next door, making it a perfect spot for shopping. Getting to Myeongdong by taxi took only about 20-25 minutes, which was very convenient.
  
  The room was spacious, clean, and the furniture was modern and well-maintained. A bonus was the mini washing machine in the room, which was incredibly convenient for laundry during my stay.

  The room was beautiful and comfortable, with a wonderful view – we had a Lake view room. Breakfast buffet was delicious and had a huge variety – both Korean and Western style food and hot and cold food. The service from the staff was amazing and they spoke English well. Really convenient location, so close to Jamsil station, made it easy for us to travel around. Also we loved being able to get discounted tickets to Lotte World and being able to enter Lotte World through a special guest door! Our trip to Lotte World was a highlight of our stay!

  This is a marvelous hotel to end my stay in Seoul. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I was travelling alone from New Zealand and they always made me feel welcome. There are lots to do and see around the hotel and plenty of great places to eat .
  
  My room was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely view especially at night.
  
  On my last night I had an accident while out walking. The staff rang around and found a suitable hospital to treat me. A staff member accompanied me firstly to a clinic. Then , because of a shift change, another staff member accompanied me in the taxi and stayed with me while I was treated at a specialist orthopedic hospital. I can not thank the hotel and it's staff enough for the way they looked after me.

  Very convenient stay. The hotel links to the Lotte Department store and the underground shopping.mall, the metro and Lotte World and Lotte shopping centre. Everything you need is at your doorstep. Lots of places to eat and shop.
