King’s Garden Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to King’s Garden, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up surprising you in the best ways. This hotel has that comfortable, lived-in feel that actually makes you relax instead of worrying about touching anything.
The lobby’s got this sort of garden theme going on (hence the name, I suppose), with plenty of greenery that somehow doesn’t feel overdone or fake. Actually reminds me of my grandmother’s sunroom, if that makes sense – just genuinely welcoming rather than trying too hard to impress. The staff here really knows their stuff too, which is honestly refreshing. During check-in, the front desk guy gave me insider tips about the area that weren’t just the typical tourist traps everyone mentions. Small touches like that make a difference when you’re traveling.
Now, I won’t sugarcoat it – this isn’t luxury territory with marble bathrooms and Egyptian cotton sheets. But the rooms are clean, the beds are actually comfortable (tested thoroughly during my stay), and everything works like it should. The shower pressure was decent, which matters more than people admit. I mean, you’re not getting a spa experience, but you’re getting solid value for what you pay. The 7.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s above average without being spectacular, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, even on weekends. The walls aren’t paper-thin like some places I’ve stayed, and you can actually get some sleep without wearing earplugs. Plus, the housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work – my room stayed spotless throughout my visit, and they were always friendly when I passed them in the hallways. If you’re looking for a straightforward, no-nonsense stay without breaking the bank, King’s Garden delivers on that promise without any unpleasant surprises.

Fantastic location near Jongno-3 station. 3 stops from Seoul station and the airport express train! Next to Insa-dong, old Korean homes converted to nice restaurants and boutiques. Also near Gyeongbokgung palace. 5 minutes walk to station, one stop from Gwangjang market. Safe area. Host is communicative, but one needs to be persistant and call if urgent. I have stayed here 4 times, and will book again!

Host is kind and responsive.Larina from South Korea (7/10)
The location is ideal for me. I visit SNUH every day, and it's just a 20-minute walk away. Additionally, I have the option of taking a taxi within the same timeframe. That's why the location of the hotel was of utmost importance to me."

My stay in the room was a decent experience. The room provided a comfortable place to rest and had the basic amenities I needed. It was clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated.
However I was a fairly standard accommodation. It served its purpose for my stay.
In summary, the room was decent, offering comfort and cleanliness, but it fell slightly short of my initial expectations. It was suitable for my needs during my trip.Rebekah from Singapore (8/10)
Amazing location!! Cozy and convenient. Nice area for luggage. Nice kitchen.

It is located in walking distance of many cafes and a palace. Also there's literally a CU store in front of the place, so there's that.

Location was excellent for bars and cafes and main palaces are walking distance away. The airport bus line was also close by. Room has air conditioning which was efficient. Beds were clean- a little hard for my taste but still slept well. Bathroom was spacious enough and water was hot. Bathroom was clean. I was travelling with friends and we had connecting rooms with an extra outer door which could also be locked.
The cost of the room was very competitive and so if on a budget- this could be a good option (if they attend to the things below). Communication with the hotel was quite good and someone did answer the phone quickly when we had an issue changing the code.Sezim from Kazakhstan (3/10)
Location was good. 20 minutes to Seoul station by taxi.
