The location thing is really the star here though. Being that close to Seoul Station means you’re basically connected to everything – KTX trains if you want to explore beyond the city, subway lines in every direction, and honestly some pretty decent food options right in the station complex if you’re too tired to venture out. I discovered this little bakery on the second floor of the station that does these incredible cream buns – totally became my morning ritual. The neighborhood itself isn’t the most charming part of Seoul, I’ll admit, but it’s got that authentic working-city vibe rather than tourist bubble feeling. You’ll hear some traffic noise, especially in the mornings when commuters are rushing to catch trains, but it’s not excessive. The double-glazed windows do their job pretty well. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – they drew me an actual hand-drawn map to a nearby jjimjilbang when I asked, complete with little landmarks to watch for. That 8.0 rating feels about right to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s well-executed comfort with the kind of location that makes exploring Seoul feel effortless rather than exhausting.
