The thing about this place is that it gets the fundamentals right without trying to be something it’s not. The rooms are clean and surprisingly spacious for what you’re paying – I mean, I’ve stayed at places charging twice as much with half the room to move around. The bed was actually comfortable (you know how hotel beds can be a total gamble), and honestly, the water pressure in the shower was better than what I have at home. Small things, but they matter when you’re trying to unwind after a long day exploring. The staff seemed genuinely happy to help too, not that forced hospitality you get sometimes. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or awkward upselling attempts.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – even though you’re right in the heart of things, the rooms are well-insulated from street noise. I’m someone who needs proper sleep when traveling, and I actually slept better here than I expected. The neighborhood itself has this authentic local feel that you don’t always get when staying in more touristy areas. There’s a great little convenience store literally around the corner (perfect for late-night snack runs), and I stumbled across this amazing local restaurant just two blocks away that I never would have found otherwise. The whole area feels lived-in, if that makes sense – real people going about their daily lives, which I find way more interesting than sterile hotel districts. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the usual headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. Look, it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. It’s the kind of place where you can just relax and feel at home without breaking the bank or dealing with pretentious service.
