I’m someone who needs proper sleep when traveling, and I actually slept better here than I expected. There’s a great little convenience store literally around the corner (perfect for late-night snack runs), and I stumbled across this amazing local restaurant just two blocks away that I never would have found otherwise. The whole area feels lived-in, if that makes sense – real people going about their daily lives, which I find way more interesting than sterile hotel districts. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the usual headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. Look, it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. It’s the kind of place where you can just relax and feel at home without breaking the bank or dealing with pretentious service.
