I’ll be honest, when I first pulled up to Hotel Uri&, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect – the name’s a bit quirky, right? But sometimes those are the places that surprise you the most. This four-star spot has this understated charm that grows on you, and after spending a few nights there, I actually found myself recommending it to friends who were planning trips to the area.

The whole vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious. You know how some hotels try way too hard to impress you the moment you walk in? This isn’t that. Instead, it’s got this comfortable, lived-in feeling that makes you want to actually relax rather than worry about whether you’re dressed nicely enough for the lobby. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting the details right – I mean, they remembered my coffee preference by the second morning, which honestly made my day. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out too, with these little touches that show someone was actually thinking about how real people use hotel spaces. The lighting is warm instead of harsh, there are enough outlets near the bed (thank goodness), and the bathroom setup actually makes sense for getting ready in the morning without waking up your travel companion.

What really won me over, though, was how the place feels connected to its surroundings without being touristy about it. The 7.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. The neighborhood has this authentic energy, especially in the early evenings when locals are heading home from work and you can hear the city settling into its rhythm. I spent quite a bit of time just people-watching from the hotel’s common areas, which have these big windows that frame the street life perfectly. The sound insulation is pretty good too – I was worried about street noise, but it never became an issue. One thing I’d mention is that parking can get tight during busier periods, so if you’re driving, maybe call ahead to sort that out. But honestly, that’s a minor detail in the bigger picture of what makes this place work. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels genuine rather than manufactured for Instagram, you know?

  Hotel Uri& is located right next to the Coex, so it’s great for conference goers. The fitness room and laundry facility were very convenient through my week-long stay. I would come here again.

  Rooms were spacious and clean. Shower attached to the sink took some getting used to, but ok. Appreciated the water they gave us daily and the front desk went above and beyond to help us with printing some pages twice. Their lobby and mini convenience store was well thought out and we made use of it for ice cream and microwave rice.
