The check-in was smooth – no unnecessary upselling or confusing room categories, just straightforward hospitality. The lobby has this unpretentious vibe that somehow feels more welcoming than those over-designed spaces where you’re afraid to touch anything. The rooms are honestly what you’d hope for at this level – clean, functional, with beds that don’t leave you counting ceiling tiles all night. Nothing fancy, but the basics are solid, and that’s really what matters when you’re actually trying to sleep somewhere.

What really won me over, though, was discovering all the little details they get right. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (shocking, I know), the shower pressure is decent, and – this might sound small but trust me – they have proper blackout curtains. If you’re someone who needs actual darkness to sleep, you’ll appreciate this more than you realize. The breakfast setup is pretty straightforward but fresh, and the coffee is surprisingly good for a hotel this size. I also noticed they keep the common areas genuinely comfortable rather than just Instagram-ready, which means you can actually sit and read or work without feeling like you’re posing for a photo shoot. The 8.2 rating makes complete sense to me – it’s the kind of place that consistently delivers what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. You’re not going to get luxury amenities or concierge service, but you’ll sleep well, start your day properly, and feel like you got honest value for your money. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially when you want to spend your time and energy exploring rather than being pampered at the hotel.

  Good location, near the subway and minimart. The room is spacious, clean, and has complete facilities. The staff is friendly.

  The location was good not far from the subway station and easy to walk to Hongdae area. And the hotel has a garden where I could chill during the stay.

  The room was exactly as expected, a little small but we made it work. It's the price to pay in order to stay in Hongdae for not too expensive 😀
  The balcony was great to have especially with such good weather. However, it is not allowed to smoke on the balcony, so just keep in mind in case you want to book it for that reason.
  The staff was lovely and helped us bring our heavy suitcase up to the 3rd floor, much appreciated!

  Loved how central this place was. So close to hongik university station which is where every train and bus links through just about. The nightlife in hongdae is the best in all of Seoul. This property being in just walking distance of that was awesome. Super safe for female solo travellers like myself, especially having multiple PIN codes to access the building.

  The location was perfect a quick 5 minute walk to one of the key subway lines made it easy to get around and having a number of cafes and hongdae street nearby was excellent

  Small double-door window.
  Very efficient AC/heater (be careful not to leave it on or you will come back to a way too warm room… not to mention a waste of electricity).

  Only 5-10mins to main street and Hongdae shopping area, and right near gelato, food, and convenience store (FYI tip for staying in Korea, if you need a microwave just go to the convenience stores).

  Location was amazing. Hongdae is a busy town but this hotel is location just around the corner which is pretty quiet at night which is just what you need to wind down for the night. Truly love the room & service. Minimal yet sufficient for a comfortable stay
