There’s this particular alley about two blocks away where I discovered the best kimchi jjigae of my life, and the ajumma running the place remembered my order after just two visits.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail that you don’t expect at this price point. The rooms are compact – this is Seoul, after all – but everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than cramped.
