But if you want to experience Seoul‘s legendary nightlife without having to navigate the subway system after a few drinks, well, you’ve found your spot. The house itself actually feels like someone’s well-maintained family home that they’ve opened up to travelers – there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. With five rooms and four bathrooms, you’re not going to be waiting in line for a shower, which is honestly more than I can say for a lot of places I’ve stayed in this city.

What I really appreciated was how the space manages to feel both lived-in and clean at the same time. You know those places that are so sterile they make you afraid to touch anything? Parking is pretty much non-existent around here (this is Hongdae, after all), but the subway connections are so good you honestly don’t need a car anyway. If you’re looking for a place that puts you right in the middle of one of Seoul’s most vibrant districts without breaking the bank, this cozy house setup actually works really well – just don’t expect luxury amenities, expect authenticity instead.
