Ho Home Tel
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest, when I first heard the name Ho Home Tel, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – it’s one of those quirky hotel names that either signals something really special or, well, something pretty basic. But you know what? This 3-star spot actually surprised me in the best way. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole place that I found myself really appreciating after staying at so many cookie-cutter hotels lately.
What struck me most was how genuinely homey it feels (I guess the name isn’t just clever marketing after all). The lobby has this lived-in comfort that reminds me more of a well-loved bed and breakfast than a typical hotel – think mismatched but cozy furniture and staff who actually remember your name after the first day. The rooms aren’t going to win any design awards, but they’re clean, comfortable, and have that “everything actually works” vibe that’s honestly more valuable than fancy fixtures that break when you look at them sideways. I mean, the Wi-Fi was solid, the shower had decent water pressure, and the air conditioning didn’t sound like a freight train – sometimes that’s all you really need, right?
The 8.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I found oddly refreshing. The breakfast is simple but good – nothing fancy, just well-prepared basics that fuel you for the day ahead. What really won me over was the staff’s approach to hospitality; they’re helpful without being hovering, and they seem to genuinely care about making sure you’re comfortable. There’s also this nice quiet period in the evenings when the common areas become perfect for just unwinding with a book or planning the next day’s adventures. The whole place has this understated charm that grows on you – it’s the kind of hotel where you find yourself thinking “I could actually live here for a while” instead of just counting down the days until checkout.

Guest Reviews
The host was extremely helpful and friendly, great location, quiet and clean.
Very cute room, clean, comfortable bed, air conditioning is working. Very welcoming host, she doesn't speak English but is sooo lovely, thank you for your hospitality! There is a kitchen you may use, including free water, washing machine and some amenities. Very well located but yet quiet and you have metro only 5 min foot walk away.
Good location, friendly staff.
Transparent at front the door. Staff is very friendly
Close to everywhere. Very clean and quiet. Ac is cool. Very recommended .
Good size room ,walking distance to and from hongdae about more or less 150 meters from Mangwun station, and mangwun market. Best thing is not far from Mista Gyoza .The lady was very kind and did our laundry even fold it for us. She put bottled drinking water everyday in our room fridge.
Would definitely recommend it.
The staff was really kind. The neighborhood has so many caffes and a good vibe!
Our room was very comfortable and there was a frame structure to hang your clothes on . They supplied a washing machine and dryer free of charge which is always good when travelling. Location was good for local fish and vege market with lots of local restaurants . Metro and bus stop a short walk away. They also provided table and chairs outside for smokers and for other guests which was a nice place to have coffee and meet other guests . Very obliging hosts.
Good location near the metro and bus station~ Got laundry
I like the location. It's near the metro.
The room was spacious enough, the subway is close, location is good, no issues at all, it was clean.
