Hamilton Hotel
Your Seoul Retreat
First Impressions
Walking into Hamilton Hotel, you immediately get that comfortable, no-nonsense vibe that makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — this three-star property knows exactly what it does well and delivers on those promises. The lobby has a clean, modern feel without any pretentious flourishes, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re dealing with jet lag and just need things to work smoothly.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about Itaewon — it’s one of those Seoul neighborhoods that actually makes sense for international travelers. You’re right in the heart of this multicultural district where English signage is common and the street food scene is incredible. I mean, you can walk out of Hamilton Hotel and find everything from Korean BBQ joints to international cuisine within a few blocks. The area stays lively well into the evening, which couples seem to particularly appreciate (and the 9.1 location rating from couples backs that up). Plus, you’re close enough to major attractions but far enough from the tourist chaos of Myeongdong.
The Room Experience
The rooms are what I’d call efficiently designed — they maximize the space without feeling cramped, which is no small feat in Seoul. You’ll find everything you actually need: reliable Wi-Fi, a decent-sized bed, and a bathroom that works properly. The windows offer glimpses of the bustling Itaewon street life below, and there’s something oddly comforting about the gentle hum of the neighborhood. It’s clean, it’s functional, and you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want after a long day of exploring the city.
Breakfast & Practical Perks
The buffet breakfast is honestly better than you’d expect from a three-star place. They’ve got a good mix of Korean and Western options, so you can ease into local flavors or stick with familiar territory — whatever your morning mood demands. What really caught my attention though is the private parking situation. If you’re planning to rent a car and explore beyond Seoul, this is actually a huge deal since parking in this part of the city can be a nightmare. Most hotels in Itaewon don’t offer this, so it’s one of those practical advantages that seasoned travelers really appreciate.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a place that earns repeat customers, and Hamilton Hotel clearly has that figured out. I think it comes down to reliability — you know exactly what you’re getting, and it consistently delivers. The location rating of 8.8 from recent guests isn’t just a number; it reflects how this spot genuinely makes exploring Seoul easier and more enjoyable. It’s the kind of place where you can focus on experiencing the city rather than dealing with hotel hassles, and honestly, that’s worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to make the most of your time in South Korea.

Didn't do breakfast. Staff were nice and polite!
Location is perfect. Right next to Exit 1 or Exit 2 of Itaewon subway. Surrounded by shops, restaurants, bars.
It had a great room and in a good location. Other than the noise at 12 am on it was a great hotel room. I plan on staying there more in the future.
