Hamilton Hotel
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what? I’ll be honest – the Hamilton Hotel isn’t going to blow you away at first glance, but there’s something quietly dependable about this place that grew on me during my stay. It’s one of those solid 3-star properties that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re traveling.
The lobby has this lived-in feel that I actually found pretty welcoming – not Instagram-perfect, but comfortable in a way that makes you think real people stay here regularly. Check-in was straightforward (no pretentious front desk drama), and the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. My room was clean and functional – I mean, the furniture’s seen better days, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some fancier places I’ve stayed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I slept well despite being someone who usually tosses and turns in hotel beds. One thing I appreciated was how quiet it was at night – you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls where you hear every conversation in the hallway.
What really struck me was the breakfast situation – nothing fancy, but they had decent coffee (actually decent, not that watery hotel stuff), and the morning crowd was this interesting mix of business travelers and families. The dining area gets good natural light, which made starting the day feel less institutional than some places. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the usual headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. Look, the 7.7 rating makes sense – it’s above average without being exceptional, and that’s probably the sweet spot for a lot of travelers who want reliability over flash. If you’re the type who needs a rooftop pool and marble everything, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want somewhere clean, quiet, and honest about what it offers, the Hamilton delivers on that promise without breaking your budget.

Didn't do breakfast. Staff were nice and polite!
Location is perfect. Right next to Exit 1 or Exit 2 of Itaewon subway. Surrounded by shops, restaurants, bars.
It had a great room and in a good location. Other than the noise at 12 am on it was a great hotel room. I plan on staying there more in the future.
