There’s this place just around the corner that locals hit up (honestly, follow the office workers after 9 PM and you’ll find gold). The subway connections are solid too – Samseong Station is right there, so getting around Seoul becomes pretty straightforward, even if you’re still figuring out the Korean transit system.

The rooms themselves are… well, they’re what you’d expect from a 3-star, but they’re clean and actually thoughtfully laid out. I stayed in one of their standard rooms and was pleasantly surprised by how much storage they packed in – there are these clever little cubbies everywhere that make living out of a suitcase way less annoying. The beds are firm (which seems to be the Korean standard), and honestly, I slept better than I expected. What really won me over though was the attention to small details – good lighting for getting ready, outlets in all the right places, and the bathroom had this heated floor situation that I didn’t know I needed until I experienced it on a chilly March morning. The 8.1 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not luxury, it’s the kind of place where everything just… works. Staff speaks enough English to help you out, check-in was smooth, and they’ve got that Korean hospitality thing down where they’re genuinely helpful without being pushy. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the city anyway and just need a solid base camp in Gangnam, this spot delivers without the premium price tag that usually comes with this neighborhood.
