G3 Hotel Chungmuro
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into G3 Hotel Chungmuro, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior, but this place really surprised me in the best way. You know how some hotels try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies but then disappoint everywhere else? This isn’t one of those places. The design is clean and modern without being sterile, and there’s this understated elegance that grows on you as you spend time there.
What really struck me about staying here is how well-positioned it is in the heart of Seoul. Chungmuro isn’t as touristy as Myeongdong or Hongdae, which honestly works in your favor – you get that authentic Seoul vibe without fighting crowds every time you step outside. The subway connections are fantastic (Chungmuro Station is literally right there), and I found myself easily hopping over to different districts throughout my stay. The neighborhood has this great mix of traditional Korean businesses and newer spots, plus some surprisingly good late-night food options that I stumbled across just wandering around after dinner.
The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot between comfortable and practical. I mean, Korean hotels can sometimes feel cramped, but G3 actually gives you breathing room. The bed was properly comfortable – not too soft, not too firm – and I appreciated the attention to small details like decent lighting for reading and enough outlets for all my devices. The bathroom was spotless with a really good shower, which matters more than you might think after long days exploring the city. What I really loved was how quiet it stayed at night; you’re in a busy area but the soundproofing actually works. The staff impressed me too – they’re genuinely helpful without hovering, and several spoke excellent English when I needed assistance with directions or restaurant recommendations.
Actually, speaking of recommendations, they steered me toward this incredible galbitang place about a ten-minute walk away that I never would have found on my own. That kind of local insight makes a difference. The hotel maintains that solid 4-star standard throughout – everything works as it should, housekeeping is thorough, and the overall experience feels polished without being pretentious. For the quality and location, it’s honestly great value, especially considering Seoul’s hotel prices these days. If you want to stay somewhere that feels like a proper base for exploring the city rather than just a place to crash, G3 delivers on that front completely.

Good location,clean,convenient.
Close to few lines subway saturations.
10 mins away from Myeingdong.
There is a convenience store next door.
great location.
Location could not be better. Room was clean and the space was well designed, it was small but I never felt crammed or needed to step over my things.
Location, location, location
I like the way they talk and behave, as well as their clean grooming. They are all well-trained and professional. There was no bad part during my stay.
Everything was perfect
Great location and facilities (including self-laundry room if required), clean and comfortable, good size room for Seoul. Staff were incredibly helpful with travel advice and also let us use the conference room for a late night work call free of charge, which was much appreciated
The hotel is located in a perfect area - close to the metro, within walking distance to some attractions (for example, myeongdong street - 15-20 minute walk)
The rooftop terrace was fantastic!!
We didn't get the breakfast but then decided to try 1 morning. We were able to easily get vouchers from the front desk. It was fine, nothing special.
The hotel is a quick walk from Chungmuro metro station and the airport limousine bus stop, very convenient! It's in the very center, easy to go around to all of Seoul, yet the area is not loud and pretty peaceful. I'm glad I chose this over Myoungdong station area which is only 1 stop away, there is too busy and too loud for me.
Staff is nice, the room is clean and cozy as expected from the pictures, nice housekeeping service too. The view from the window is pretty normal, standard city view. All good for its price. I'd stay again if I'm back in Seoul.
