Dongdaemun Design Plaza is maybe a 7-minute walk, and the night markets – well, they’re practically outside your door. I spent way too many late nights wandering around Gwangjang Market grabbing hotteok and watching the fabric vendors do their thing. The subway connections are solid too; you’ve got multiple lines within walking distance, so getting to Myeongdong or Gangnam is pretty straightforward. The area does get pretty lively at night (it’s a shopping district, so that’s expected), but it never felt unsafe, just bustling.
