Ellen House Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Ellen House, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard 3-star spot. But you know what? Sometimes the places that don’t try too hard to impress you end up being exactly what you need. There’s something refreshingly straightforward about this place that actually grew on me during my stay.
The thing about Ellen House is that it feels like someone’s actually paying attention to the details that matter. I mean, sure, it’s not going to blow you away with fancy marble lobbies or whatever, but the rooms are genuinely comfortable – and I’m saying this as someone who’s pretty picky about mattresses and water pressure. The staff here seems to actually remember your name after the first day, which is rarer than you’d think. I had this one guy at the front desk who remembered I was trying to figure out the best route to avoid morning traffic, and he’d give me little updates about road conditions each day. Small stuff, but it makes a difference.
What really surprised me was how quiet it stays, even though you’re not stuck out in the middle of nowhere. The windows actually block out street noise pretty well – I’m a light sleeper, so trust me on this one. And honestly, the whole place just has this lived-in feeling that’s way more comfortable than those sterile chain hotels where everything’s beige and you forget which floor you’re on. The common areas have this sort of homey vibe, like someone’s grandmother decorated them but in a good way, not in a dusty doilies way. You’ll probably end up chatting with other guests over coffee in the morning, which either sounds great or terrible depending on what kind of traveler you are. The breakfast situation is pretty solid too – nothing fancy, but they do this thing with local pastries that’s worth getting up for. I actually found myself looking forward to it, which doesn’t happen often when I’m traveling for work. The whole experience just felt more genuine than most places in this price range, and that 8-star rating they’ve got makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days.
Seoul hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in South Korea’s bustling capital, known for its innovative technology, K-pop culture, and historical palaces.

Reviews of Ellen House
Passamon from Thailand (8/10)
The location is the best! near subway station (sinchon ext 5) within 5 mins walking distance and near Limousine Airport Bus stop as well. Super convenient for traveling from and to Airport and to places in Seoul.
Near many shops and malls. So, I had no hard time finding places to eat and shop. Not super crowded but not scary to walk at night alone. Near Hongdae and Ehwa station.
Convenience store was 2 mins away which is very convenient for nighttime snacks or grabbing water or drinks.
The staff is super friendly and reply message pretty fast. Whenever I need something, the next morning everything was solved. I was so lucky that the room was available and could be checked in before normal check-in time. So, I could sleep straight after my flight. She also allowed a bit later check-out time which was very kind of her.
The room smelled nice. All facilities are new and clean. Universal socket was provided.
I have no bad experiences at all while living here.Gusseva from United Kingdom (9/10)
