Ehwa Blossom
Your Seoul Retreat
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Ehwa Blossom, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the smaller hotels surprise you in the best ways, and this one definitely falls into that category. The name immediately caught my attention (ehwa means “pear blossom” in Korean, which I thought was a lovely touch), and there’s something quietly charming about the whole setup that grows on you.
What really impressed me was how thoughtfully everything seemed to be arranged. The lobby has this understated elegance – not trying too hard, but clearly someone cared about making it feel welcoming rather than just functional. The staff actually seemed to know what they were doing, which honestly isn’t always a given at this price point. Check-in was smooth, and they had those little touches that show attention to detail – like actually cold water in the minibar and blackout curtains that, miracle of miracles, actually block out light completely. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, though don’t expect luxury finishes. What you do get is solid comfort and everything working properly, which I’d take over fancy marble that’s falling apart any day.
Here’s the thing about Ehwa Blossom – it punches above its weight class. That 8.5 rating isn’t some fluke; it’s earned through consistency and actually caring about guest experience. The housekeeping is thorough (I mean, they even fold the toilet paper into those little triangles), and I never had that slightly musty smell you sometimes get in budget-friendly places. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a crick in my neck, and the shower pressure was surprisingly good. It’s not going to wow you with a rooftop infinity pool or a spa, but it delivers on the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re trying to get decent rest. The breakfast spread is simple but fresh, and they keep it well-stocked even during busy periods. I’d definitely stay here again – sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that focus on doing the basics really well rather than trying to be something they’re not.
