What really won me over, though, is how perfectly positioned this hotel is for exploring Seoul’s heart. I mean, you’re literally steps away from Myeongdong’s main shopping street – I could hear the buzz of street vendors setting up their stalls in the early morning, which honestly became part of the charm rather than an annoyance. The location means you can stumble back to your room after trying all the Korean fried chicken and hotteok your stomach can handle, and Myeongdong Station is so close you’ll barely break a sweat getting there. I actually found myself using the hotel as a sort of home base, dropping off shopping bags between exploring different neighborhoods.

The rooms themselves are compact (this is Seoul, after all – space is premium), but they’re thoughtfully designed with everything you actually need. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, and the bathrooms are spotless with decent water pressure, which trust me, isn’t always a given in this part of the city. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night despite being in such a bustling area – they’ve clearly invested in good windows because the street noise just fades away once you close them. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me; it’s not trying to be a luxury experience, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to spend your time exploring rather than lounging in your room, and you want to be right in the thick of Seoul’s energy without paying Gangnam prices, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Very comfortable and clean hotel in great location – famous Myeong-dong shopping district is just around the corner, most of Seoul central attractions are within walking distance and there is a good metro connection with everything else. Breakfast is very good even if you have only three dishes every day to choose from. Rooms are well equipped, serivced daily with water bottles etc. Personnel did their best to accomodate early chceck-in.

  It’s close to Myeongdong station; a 5 mins walk. Namdaemun market and Shinsegae are 9 mins away and Myeongdong food street is just behind. This is my second time staying at days hotel.

  Location was perfect for a short stay in Seoul. Myeongdong Night market was just a short stroll from the hotel as well as Namdaemun market. It was right in the centre of Seoul which has proximity to most of the touristy places.

  The hotel was very clean, the room size regular for Korean standards, with a nice bathroom. The room was cleaned daily. The location was great, 2 min from Myeong-dong station, many busses in front the hotel, even though the busy myeong-dong street is 3 min away, in the hotel room it was quiet.

  Prime location! It's just around the corner from the bustling streets of Myeongdong and the metro. The staff was polite and helped me arrange a taxi since I didn't speak Korean.
