The rooms themselves feel more spacious than typical Seoul accommodations, though that’s probably not saying much if you’re coming from anywhere outside of Asia. But honestly, after spending days walking through cramped market stalls and navigating subway crowds, having enough room to actually open your suitcase fully feels like luxury. The beds are legitimately comfortable – none of that rock-hard mattress situation you sometimes get in business hotels. I actually slept through construction noise one morning, which for someone who usually wakes up if a neighbor sneezes, was pretty impressive. The bathrooms are clean and modern, though the shower pressure could be better (classic Seoul hotel issue, unfortunately). One thing that caught me off guard in a good way was how quiet the rooms stayed despite being surrounded by such a bustling area – the windows must be pretty solid because you really don’t hear much street noise once you’re settled in. The 8.6 rating makes total sense when you factor in the location, the reliable Marriott service standards, and honestly just how well it works as a base camp for exploring this part of the city. If you’re the type who wants to be walking distance from both traditional markets and modern shopping districts, while still having a dependable place to retreat to, this spot delivers without any real surprises – which in Seoul’s hotel scene, is actually pretty valuable.

  Clean, great amenities (like a self-serve laundry room), and kind staff. Room was so nice, greatly appreciated the water purifier/dispenser in the room. It was across the street from Namdaemun market and walking distance to Myeongdong. Lots of tasty dining options nearby and close to public transportation again. Will definitely stay here again!
