Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Botanic Park Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Botanic Park, I wasn’t expecting much beyond your typical business hotel experience. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The location near the botanical park gives it this unexpectedly peaceful vibe that you don’t usually find with Marriott properties in major cities. You know what really struck me? The lobby has these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in so much natural light, and there’s something about the way they’ve incorporated greenery throughout the design that makes sense given the park proximity.
The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star property – clean, modern, with that reliable Marriott comfort level – but it’s the little touches that made me appreciate staying here. The bathrooms are spacious (which honestly matters more than people admit), and the beds are genuinely comfortable, not just marketing comfortable. I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels where they claim premium bedding and you wake up feeling like you slept on cardboard. Here, I actually slept well. The soundproofing is pretty decent too, which is crucial in Seoul where the city never really quiets down. From my room, I could see glimpses of the botanical park, and there’s something calming about having that green space so close when you’re in the middle of such a bustling metropolis.
What really sets this place apart though is how it manages to feel both professional and relaxed at the same time. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, they spoke excellent English, and when I had a question about getting to Hongdae (because let’s face it, that’s where you want to spend your evenings), they gave me actual useful directions, not just generic tourist advice. The fitness center is surprisingly well-equipped, and I appreciated that it wasn’t crowded even during typical busy hours. The breakfast spread is solid without being overwhelming – fresh options, decent coffee, and they actually understand how to cook eggs properly. Parking was straightforward, which honestly can be a nightmare in this city. With an 8.8 rating, you can tell other travelers have had similarly positive experiences, and after spending several nights here, I get why. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in Seoul, but it delivers on what matters – comfort, reliability, and that rare combination of being both centrally accessible and peacefully removed from the urban chaos.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Seoul through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best districts for experiencing the city’s blend of tradition and innovation.

Reviews of Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Botanic Park
– from Malaysia (9/10)
Great service. Staff very friendly. Had a great time in Korea.
Pinyi from Taiwan (9/10)
The area was quite quiet and clean unlike some area in the city center such as Hongdae. There’s also a small convenience store and Olive Young around where you can buy some things. The staff were pretty nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The airport line starting from Incheon airport passes the station which the hotel is located so it is very convenient and highly recommended to those who don’t feel like carrying their luggage for a long time.
