Lotte World is practically next door, which was perfect for the kids, but honestly, even as an adult, I found myself getting caught up in the excitement there. The Lotte World Tower views from the apartment’s windows aren’t Instagram-perfect or anything, but there’s something nice about seeing that iconic skyline while you’re having your morning coffee. And here’s something most people don’t think about – being close to Asan Medical Center might not sound exciting, but it gave me this weird peace of mind knowing quality healthcare was nearby. Plus, the area around medical facilities in Seoul tends to have really good, affordable restaurants because of all the visitors and staff. We found this incredible jjigae place that was clearly a local favorite, packed with hospital workers grabbing quick meals. The KSPO Dome proximity was just a bonus – we didn’t catch any events there, but the whole Olympic Park area is actually lovely for evening walks when you need to decompress from Seoul’s intensity. The subway connections from Cheonho make getting anywhere in the city pretty straightforward, though I’d definitely recommend getting a T-money card and downloading Citymapper before you arrive. Trust me on that one.
