Blue home Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Blue home feels more like stepping into a friend’s well-designed apartment than checking into a typical hotel. This three-star property sits right in the heart of Jongno-gu, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building itself is modern but understated — you know, the kind of place that doesn’t scream “tourist trap” from the street.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying in Seoul — you’re literally steps away from Cheonggyecheon Stream, which means early morning walks along the water before the city fully wakes up. The Jongno area has this perfect mix of old and new that you don’t find everywhere. You’ve got traditional markets within walking distance, but also plenty of modern cafes and shops. I mean, couples consistently rate this spot highly for good reason — there’s something romantic about being so close to the stream, especially in the evenings when it’s all lit up.
The Room Experience
The room at Blue home is compact but thoughtfully designed — actually, it reminds me more of a well-planned studio than a standard hotel room. Everything has its place, and the decor leans modern with clean lines and neutral colors. The beds are comfortable enough, though if you’re used to sprawling American hotel rooms, you might need to adjust your expectations. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re right in the middle of everything.
Practical Considerations
Getting around from here is incredibly straightforward — the subway connections are solid, and you can walk to so many of Seoul’s main attractions. I found myself using public transport less than expected because honestly, half the places I wanted to visit were within reasonable walking distance. The staff speaks decent English, which helps if your Korean is rusty like mine. One thing to note: this isn’t a place with a fancy lobby restaurant or extensive amenities, but that’s sort of the point — you’re paying for location and comfort, not bells and whistles.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests have been rating the location at 9.2 out of 10, and after staying here, I get it completely. There’s something special about being able to step outside and immediately feel connected to the city’s rhythm. The value proposition is solid too — you’re getting a clean, comfortable place to sleep in one of Seoul’s most central neighborhoods without paying five-star prices. It’s the kind of place where you spend most of your time exploring the city, then come back to crash in a space that feels more personal than corporate. If you’re the type who values being in the thick of things over having a pool or spa, Blue home delivers exactly what you need.

The property is perfect, we stayed for 2 weeks were a group of 3 people, it’s clean and light, facilities are great, and the host is super responsive.

It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. I also really appreciated the water filter so we didn’t have to buy lots of bottled water. The wifi and heating worked well and the hot water was good.

We, a group of 3 adults, booked this accommodation just few days before reaching Seoul. We chose it as it was central enough for us and good value for money for the location : its facing the canal, along which you can walk to reach Gwangjang market, and from there, some of Seoul main temples. The flat is located at the 5th floor of a shoe mall with multiple independent sellers ; actually the entire street is lined with such shops, and across the canal/street you spot many clothing department stores. This makes for a lively neighbourhood during the day and evening (many small shops closed on weekends).
The flat itself is really well equipped, one of the better equipped places we've stayed at during our entire trip : nicely equipped kitchen where you can reheat, cook and a small living room to chill in ; two nice bedrooms with comfy beds, a small but sufficient bathroom. Communication was rather easy with the friendly flat owner and timely, which helped as we reached Seoul late that evening (self check-in/check-out).Dzhastina from Hungary (8/10)

The apartment is close to a metro station which makes it easy to reach.
Apartment is very clean and thoughtfully furnished, so everything is easy to find and store. The host offered a cleaning as well during our stay.
There is a water purifier in the apartment which makes the stay comfortable.
Apartment is equipped with a passcode lock, so every guest can have an access without sharing a key.

Great locationAshif from Netherlands (8/10)
The appartment was very clean, had enough space for two people and a good central location across from Dongdaemun market / shopping area. In the street where this appartment is, there are several convenience stores closeby.
We stayed for five nights, we had enough towels and toilet paper, a vaccuum cleaner, washing machine, kettle, cooking area, coffee machine hairdryer, tv and airconditioning. There was also shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner if you needed it + there were also some snacks in the appartment on arrival from the host. We had a lovely stay here!Thi from Vietnam (8/10)
The room is very clean and comfortable.

It has everything: a washing machine, a coffee machine, a kettle, a sofa, a big fridge, a table, etc. Even a vacuum cleaner! That's a must for long stays. It seems like the place was recently renovated. We had enough space for four people so I think it would be just perfect for three. It's also really close to all of the main touristic places, the bus stop, and 2 subways lines (line 1 Dongdaemun, line 6 Dongmyo) and a lot of convenience stores around. Great places are also at a walking distance. The host is also extremely kind and accommodating, their welcoming aura made the stay ten times better.

bonjour,
J'y retourne sans hésiter.t 💖👌Katalin from Hungary (9/10)
