Baiton Seoul Dongdaemun
Your Seoul Retreat
You know what struck me first about Baiton Seoul Dongdaemun? It’s got this quietly confident vibe that doesn’t try too hard – which honestly is refreshing in a city where everything seems to be competing for your attention. I mean, Seoul can be overwhelming with all its glitzy hotels, but this 3-star spot just does its thing well without the fuss.
The location is actually pretty brilliant if you’re the type who likes to dive into the real pulse of the city. You’re right in the thick of Dongdaemun, which means you can literally roll out of bed and be shopping at the night markets within minutes – and I’m talking about the kind of authentic Korean street food and fashion finds that tourists usually miss. The 24-hour shopping complexes like Doota and Migliore are practically on your doorstep, but here’s the thing locals know: the real action happens after midnight when the wholesale markets come alive. I’ve stayed in fancier places in Gangnam that felt sterile compared to the energy you get here.
What I really appreciate is how the hotel doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. The 7.8 rating feels spot-on – it’s solid, clean, and the staff actually seems to care about helping you navigate the neighborhood rather than just checking boxes. The rooms are compact (this is Seoul, after all), but they’re thoughtfully designed with enough space to spread out your shopping hauls. The soundproofing is better than you’d expect considering you’re in such a bustling area – though honestly, I kind of enjoyed hearing the distant hum of the markets winding down in the early morning hours. There’s something about falling asleep to the sounds of a city that never quite stops that makes you feel like you’re really experiencing the place, you know? Plus, the subway connections are incredibly easy from here – Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station gets you anywhere in the city without the tourist markup you’d pay staying in more obvious hotel districts. If you’re someone who values being in the middle of authentic Seoul life over having a concierge who speaks perfect English, this place just makes sense.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Seoul through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best districts for experiencing the city’s blend of tradition and innovation.

near subway and convenience stores
前台会说流利中文,非常耐心。
Very convenient location. Airport bus stop is just outside the door. Subway is a short walk away.
great hotel, dongdaemun is a great district cause less touristy and has a great local vibe. the hotel has a stop of the airport shuttle just in front of it so its a great location. overall nice hotel nice room and great price
they give water everyday, cleaning staff is so nice :)
Very close to the subway, it's also convenient to get to through the airport limousine and you're able to walk to the DDP through the underground (metro system) in around 10 minutes.
Great location and clean rooms. It wasn't spacious, but there were enough space for 2 large suitcases. Also it was quiet and the internet connection was good. Great place for the first visit — all main tourist locations are nearby.
Staff were great and let us store our luggage two days earlier than our check in date. The location is good, just a 10 min walk from Gwangjang market and fast food chains like Lotteria, Burger King and McDonalds. Also a short walk to the nearest subway station and a bus into Myeongdong that you can get on just round the corner.
The toilet and shower facilities were great. Air con worked best and the bed was comfortable.
Wonderful location. On and off stop for ICN airport is just at the hotel. Very easy for transportation.
Room space is enough.
Location close to Gwangjang Market, DDP and not too far from Myeongdong area. There is shuttle bus 6001 direct from the airport and stop in front of the hotel.
Large bathroom with big bathtub.
Presidential family room was very spacious
