They had this little area with instant coffee and tea that’s available 24/7 – not fancy, but exactly what you want when you’re jet-lagged and everything’s closed. The front desk folks spoke solid English and actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give real recommendations, not just the tourist trap stuff. One person told me about this amazing late-night convenience store around the corner that has surprisingly good ramen, and honestly, that became my go-to spot for quick meals. The whole place feels like it’s run by people who’ve actually traveled themselves, you know? Little touches like having universal adapters available and maps with hand-drawn notes about the best subway routes. The 8.4 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it nails the basics and throws in some genuine hospitality that feels increasingly rare these days. If you’re the type who wants to experience Hongdae’s energy but also needs a place to actually recharge, this works really well.

  the location is superb! it’s clean, functional and well equipped. the landlord is very fast in responding and helpful because we came quite earlier than the check in time but we can leave the luggage there before our check in time so it’s great.

  2 bedrooms perfect for our family of 4. Had all the amenities we required and we were able to cook meals instead of going out to dinner every night.. close to supermarket and not far from subway. Host was very responsive

  During the trip, we stayed at this place with our family twice, two adults and three children aged 17 and 14, as well as a child of 1 year and 10 months. In terms of price-quality ratio, the offer is simply excellent. Excellent room with three bedrooms, the cleanest bed linen and towels. Everything you need for living and even more is in the room, all the equipment works perfectly. Nearby is a large grocery store with several small ones, as well as the Napyeong subway station, next to which is a key bus station and a very convenient train connection to get to any point in Seoul. I highly recommend the traditional Korean barbecue nearby 돈미락숯불갈비, as well as croissants at 돈미락숯불갈비. Thank you for a great stay, dear owners of Artravel Hongdae.
