Honestly, when I first walked up to Artravel Home, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – the name had me thinking it might be some sort of art-focused boutique place, but it turned out to be something a bit different. It’s one of those smaller 3-star properties that doesn’t try to be flashy, and you know what? That actually works in its favor. The whole vibe feels more like staying at someone’s well-kept guesthouse than a corporate hotel chain, which I found pretty refreshing.

The rooms are clean and functional without being fancy – I mean, you’re not going to find marble bathrooms or designer furniture, but everything you need is there and it’s all maintained well. What really struck me was how quiet the place stays, even when it seems fairly full. The walls must be decent because I barely heard my neighbors, which is honestly a blessing when you’re trying to get some actual rest. Check-in was straightforward too – no lengthy speeches about amenities or pushy upselling, just friendly efficiency. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing, and they’ve got that casual professionalism down where they’ll chat if you want to but won’t hover if you don’t.

I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t the kind of place you’d pick for a romantic anniversary or if you’re looking to impress business clients. But if you want somewhere reliable to crash that won’t blow your budget, Artravel Home delivers exactly that. The 7.7 rating feels about right to me – it’s solidly above average without any major flaws, just not particularly memorable in terms of luxury touches. I actually appreciated that they didn’t try to oversell what they are. Sometimes you just need a good bed, decent water pressure, and wifi that actually works (which theirs does, by the way). The breakfast situation is pretty basic but gets the job done, and they’re flexible about timing which I always appreciate. Would I stay there again? Yeah, probably – especially if I was in town for practical reasons rather than leisure. It’s the kind of place that grows on you because it just… works.

  The property is in a very good location as it is close to street food, shopping, and within walking distance to the subway. Our room was very clean and cozy.

  Good loc, olive young & juno hair downstairs, abc mart and nyunyu a walk away, nanta theatre & isaac bfast also round the corners, bus to n seoul tower and pickup point for land tours 10mins away across the street

  Location was right in Myeongdong which makes it really convenient for night shopping and street food. It was also walking distance to Myeongdong station so it was easy to go around using the metro. The room had enough sleeping space and beds were comfortable, but almost didn’t have space for luggages given we’re a family of 4 with 3 big luggages. The space was clean and always smelled good.

  The hotel is in the heart of medjong, close to tube, restaurants shops etc very easy to navigate.
  Room was very clean and a nice size.
  Washing machine on site is great to have and you can purchase any extras you need.
  Hairdryer, straightener etc available on site too!

  The house was complete, there’s common drinking water (hot and cold), microwave etc and the location is SUPERB! In the center of everything.
