I stayed there during cherry blossom season (probably the worst time to judge noise levels, let’s be honest), and I could still sleep with the windows cracked open.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually understand what budget travelers need. Check-in was smooth even when I showed up earlier than I probably should have, and they had this little area with maps and transit cards where you could sort of figure out your bearings. The rooms are compact – I mean, this is Seoul, so that’s not exactly shocking – but they’ve maximized the space pretty well. Everything felt clean and functional, though I’ll say the walls aren’t exactly soundproof, so if you’re a light sleeper, pack earplugs. The shared bathrooms were consistently well-maintained, which honestly can make or break a guesthouse experience. There’s also this communal kitchen area that gets busy around dinner time, but it’s nice to have the option to grab groceries from the E-Mart down the street and cook something simple. The wifi held up fine for video calls back home, which is always my litmus test for these places. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards – the vibe is more practical than Instagram-worthy – but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. For the rating it has and being a solid 3-star spot, it punches above its weight in terms of location and reliability, which matters more than fancy amenities when you’re trying to explore a city like Seoul without breaking the bank.

  The location is great. It's near Seoul Station. Just take exit 12 with the elevator, and it's up a nearby slope but easy to find. There's also a convenience store and other restaurants on the same street.

  1. Location is perfect. Super near from Exit 12 Seoul Station (Line 4). Maybe 5 minutes walking distance from the exit.
  Tips:
  – If you come from the airport by AREX, just go follow the direction to Exit 12
  – For subway line, it's better to take Line 4 since it is nearer from the exit. Seoul station is big. It covers Line 1 and 4

  5. Breakfast is included. Milk, egg, bread, cereals, cheese can be taken for free at breakfast time
  6. Staff is very friendly and welcome. Actually the staff not there every time, but when I meet him, he is soooo nice.
